Five short books that make up this volume of Biblical translations of Isaac Cylkowa, Jewish tradition describes to this day as Megilot (ganglia) in memory of the fact that they were written (like Torah) on parchment ganglia and then read. During the temple, these books did not constitute a common collection, reaching the canon of the Hebrew Bible at different times and often (at least in the case of songs over songs and kohelet) after turbulent discussions. Probably only at the end of antiquity, which we know from Midraszowa literature, was considered handy to write them together and in the order we know today. Even later, because in the Middle Ages, they were attributed to individual holidays, but this custom has not accepted in all Jewish municipalities (only the Book of Esther, and since the Mishnaian times, it has been widely associated with the Purim holiday).
